Carsten Dahl Trio at Klaverfabrikken
I attended an intimate concert last night in Klaverfabrikken's Truckhallen by Carsten Dahl Trio. Playing mostly jazz standards the chemistry between the three musicians brought the audience into their spontaneous improvisation and the obvious fun they were having. The trio is: Carsten Dahl (piano), Lennart Ginman (double bass) and Frands Rifbjerg (drums). Photos from the concert can be seen in this library.

The Travelling Tribes return to Buddhas
The last time The Travelling Tribes performed at Buddhas was November 2013. Almost 2 years later they returned last night and gave another terrific performance full of emotion, idyllic harmonies and innovation. I've stopped trying to compare them to others - they have their own trademark sound!

Low at Lille Vega
I saw the US band, Low perform last night at Lille Vega in Copenhagen and for one reason or another I did not have my normal camera gear with me but using the adage that the best camera you can have is the one you have in your hands, I was able to capture Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker with an old Android smartphone. As I was standing at the front about 2 metres from Alan it was a great regret that I left my gear at home! A great concert though.

Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2015
Attended a tremendous concert at DR Koncerthuset, Copenhagen given by Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. The music was sweet as was their interaction with the audience. A great atmosphere in the wonderful concert hall. Last time I was in it was earlier in the year to see Kraftwerk - what a contrast!

The Unknown Quartet at Staple Village Hall
Had the privilege to attend a special performance by The Unknown Quartet at Staple Village Hall near Sandwich, England on Saturday: Peter Clements (guitar & vocals), Matt Simm (guitar), Tim Taylor (bass) and Emma Simm (drums).

Jakob Bro, Lee Konitz, Bill Frisell & Thomas Morgan at Musikhuset, Aarhus on the Balladeering tour.
Well worth the train ticket to Aarhus yesterday to see Jakob Bro, Lee Konitz, Bill Frisell and Thomas Morgan perform in the Rytmisk Sal at Musikhuset in Aarhus. The concert was part of the Balladeering tour where pieces from Balladeering, Time and December Song were performed. An amazing concert and a great chance to capture this historic line-up!

Raindrops - a tribute to Burt Bacharach
After a quick lunchtime photo session on Amager, Raindrops uploaded the shots to their new website. The group consists of Eva Skipper, Morten Wedendahl, Frank Hemmingsen, Pernille Pettersson Carmohn and Nicoline Siff Møller.
